What if Mallets Cider, the official thirst quenching cider of Glastonbury Festival (and legendary drink of Shepton, the mallet-wielding god of cider) held its own mini music fest to launch its new refreshing range?
Our challenge was to create an event film that captured the atmosphere of Mallets very own mini music festival. Armed with Shepton’s mallet and a barrel of apples, we knew this wouldn’t be your usual style of launch video...
We didn’t just want to film the festival. We wanted to capture its essence. By using soundbites from attendees, we could produce a series of short, stylised social media promo films to complement our headline act – the event film.
Covering everything from the origins of this dry apple drink to fun and fast cuts around ‘the god of cider’, we worked closely with their marketing team to produce a number of social cuts from the day’s footage that could be used as stand-alone promos.
