Doesn’t time fly! On Sunday 1st March it was time for the Bath Half Marathon again!
Our crew were ready bright and early to capture this wonderful event from start to finish. With filming beginning at 8:30am and filming solidly until 3:00pm, this was a long, but very exciting day for our crew. Splitting our team into three crews enabled us to capture as many areas around the course as we could. As soon as filming begun, it was clear that all of the runners in this years event was very excited! It was lovely to see the happy smiley faces, along with the relieved faces once it was over. The support from the crowd was incredible, it made the whole day feel very emotional!
With a quick downpour just before the race, the sky cleared above the runners as they set off and luckily the weather held out for the duration of the race.
This years event was record breaking, with over 13,000 runners in the Half Marathon, over 1,000 runners taking part in the family fun run and over 30,000 supporters! The atmosphere was electric throughout the day.
Our very own Jamie took part again this year, once again raising lots of money for Bath Cats and Dogs Home. Beating his personal best AGAIN, he was thrilled and had definitely earned a pint (or two)!
Once our crew had returned to the office, it was time to get editing! With Tim coming in to pull an all-nighter working on the edit, this was such a quick turnaround and the film was live by Monday afternoon!
The film hasn’t even been live for 24 hours and it’s already had over 3,400 views. We are so pleased with how well everything went. Our crew worked so hard on the filming and editing for this film, it’s fantastic to see the great feedback it’s receiving. We are all so happy with the positive response from viewers and our friends at The Bath Half Marathon.
After all the excitement of this year, Sara has signed up for next years event!!
